life lately

From around our home this week, here are a few of the little things that have made my heart glad.

"Forget going for a walk; let's take this old Fiat for a spin."
& crazy cactus in the neighborhood

How I've been spending my evenings lately: in bed next to Elliott with my knitting and this book.
(the heavy metal book clip on the corner keeps the pages open so I can knit and read at the same time)

Pink clouds wreathing Mt. Etna at sunset; our town is perched on the cliff in the foreground
& whole wheat pancakes enough to last Lena for a few snacks.

Knitting and snuggling with Siena.

Her favorite toy (hours of entertainment each day, I kid you not)
& the young artist at work.

Lena's berry and Greek yogurt homemade popsicles are a daily treat (that she likes to share, too!)
& after this we learned how to put things back where we found them...

A big order of fingerless gloves finished and ready to mail!

Crouch... and pounce!
Amazingly, Siena never seems to mind.

Linking up with Lindsay today for it's the little things.

  1. Knitting! Looks so cosy. The furthest I've ever gotten was a 5 inch 'scarf'. I think I need to start up again.. :)

Looks like a sweet week though! Here's to a lovely weekend too x

  3. Here from the linkup... I LOVE the picture of Mt. Etna. What a beautiful sight! You have beautiful pictures, and is there anything better than pancakes!?

  4. These are both beautiful and satisfying. I love the photo of the finished gloves! And Lena picking Siena up. Luna is getting more placid about being picked up. Maybe Lena will be able to pick her up when you visit again :)

  5. I love your post! Those Cacti, I would love those in my front flower bed! Looks like you had a fun week!

  6. love the turquoise gloves!! i should order some...

    1. There might be a pair available in December, depending on how my Dec 1 craft fair goes...

  7. Did you ever get your fireplace fixed? How did it turn out?

    1. It's not fixed. :-/ Sadly, it's a saga that will perhaps get related on here sometime. Basically it's half-finished and the workmen haven't shown up for a week!

    2. Oh no! Perhaps stories like yours are the reasons we have certain...uhm..., stereotypes about the work ethic in your country? So sorry you're living with a half-finished fireplace!

  8. I read The Imperfectionists a few years ago! I'll be curious to know what you think of it! Hope you are splendid, dear Becca!

let's have a conversation!
